I have three daughters: Arden, Kelsey and Luci Van Vleck

Currently residing in Fuquay-Varina NC

I spent two decades working as a music journalist for various national publications, including Billboard, NatGeo's World Music Website, Wired, CDnow, CMJ/New Music Monthly.

 

 

Teaching and Research Interests

Research interests include: Pre-modern Christian Theology; Buddhist and Confucian thought; Art History (Renaissance, Baroque, Northern Painting, Islamic architecture), Witchcraft, Magic and popular superstition in pre-modern Europe.

Extension and Community Engagement

I'm involved in adult education, teaching various course online for Strayer Univ. 

Publications

Lately, I publish novels, the most recent being L'AFRIQUE (2012). Currently writing a novel set in the Prince-Bishopric of Wurzburg during the witch hunts of 1623.
